ODC V4.4.0

Last Updated:2026-09-03 09:11:18

Considerations
ODC V4.4.0
Feature updates

Notice

  • Before you upgrade from a version earlier than ODC V4.2.0 to ODC V4.4.0, read the Considerations section in this topic.
  • Before you use ODC V4.4.0, see ODC V4.4.0 Limitations.

Considerations

  • Data sources

    • In ODC V4.2.0 and later, the concept of connection configuration is replaced by data sources.

    • ODC V4.2.2 does not support creating an ODP data source. This feature will be restored in later versions.

    • In ODC V4.2.0 and later, personal connections are migrated to the personal workspace and are stored as data sources.

    • In ODC V4.2.0 and later, public connections are migrated to the team workspace and are stored as data sources.

    • In ODC V4.2.0 and later, read-only and read/write accounts in original public connections are retained only as read/write accounts after the upgrade.

  • User permissions

    • In ODC V4.2.0 and later, the private_connection/apply_connection role is deprecated. The permissions corresponding to this role no longer take effect.

    • In ODC V4.2.0 and later, resource groups are deprecated.

    • In ODC V4.2.0 and later, connection access permissions are deprecated. Database access control is implemented through project management.

  • System settings

    • In ODC V4.2.0 and later, system settings are deprecated.
  • Ticket module

    • Tickets initiated in versions earlier than ODC V4.2.0 can only be viewed under the "I Initiated" category. Other tickets cannot be viewed.
  • Partitioning plans

    • Historical partitioning plans created in versions earlier than ODC V4.2.0 will stop running.
  • SQL plans

    • Historical SQL plans created in versions earlier than ODC V4.2.0 will stop running.
  • Task workflow

    • In ODC V4.2.0 and later, the task workflow is deprecated. The corresponding effects are implemented through the risk level module.
  • Data desensitization

    • Data desensitization configurations created in versions earlier than ODC V4.2.0 will no longer take effect.
  • Historical sessions

    • In ODC V4.2.0 and later, historical sessions are deprecated. After the upgrade, the default setting will save the usage status of the SQL window.

ODC V4.4.0

  • Current version: V4.4.0

  • Previous version: V4.3.4-BP3

  • Release date: September 16, 2025

  • Supported upgrade path: You can directly upgrade ODC V2.0.0 and later to this version.

Feature updates

  • SQL development

    • When you design a table schema, the default index type for newly created indexes is changed from global to local.

    • When you design a table schema, you cannot enter line breaks in the table name or field name.

    • When you design a table schema, you can view and configure the storage mode of an index.

    • A result set display configuration item is added. After you enable the append display option, multiple query results in the SQL window are displayed in sequence.

    • When you execute a query SQL statement in the SQL window, the order of the appended rowid field is changed from the first column to the last column.

    • On the result set tab, you can select all columns or deselect all columns.

  • Data archiving

    • You can validate the source and destination links in the task initiation phase to ensure that the configured archiving links are within the supported range.

    • The data search method is optimized. By default, data is searched by using the condition matching method.

    • The primary key cleanup configuration item for data cleanup tasks is deprecated. New tasks will use primary key cleanup by default.

  • Schema comparison

    • The performance of the table schema retrieval step in schema comparison is optimized. The retrieval of 30,000 tables is optimized from 100 minutes to 10 seconds.
  • Resource tree

    • The performance of loading databases in the SQL console resource tree is optimized. 100,000 databases can be loaded in 10 seconds.
  • Desktop client

    • The H2 database version used by the desktop client is upgraded from 1.4.200 to 2.3.232.
  • OceanBase Database compatibility

    • ODC is compatible with OceanBase Database V4.3.5BP3 and V4.4.0.
  • Other

    • IPv6 is supported. You can deploy ODC on an IPv6 server and manage IPv6 data sources.

    • The JDK version is upgraded from 8 to 17. The Springframework version is upgraded from 5.3.26 to 6.2.3. The Springboot version is upgraded from 2.7.12 to 3.4.3.
