What to do next

Credentials are required for accessing servers. OceanBase Admin Toolkit (OAT) supports two types of credentials: username + password and key. This topic describes how to manage credentials in the OAT console.

Prerequisites

Before you manage credentials, make sure that you have logged on to OAT as a super administrator or an O&M engineer.

Create a credential

  1. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Server > Credential Management.

  2. In the upper-right corner of the page, click Create Credentials.

  3. In the Create Credentials dialog box, enter the credential information.

The following table describes the credential fields.

    Field
    Description
Credential Name The name of the credential.
Authorization Type The authorization type of the credential. OAT provides three authorization types for credentials: password authentication, public key authentication, and password-free.
User Type The type of the user to connect to the server.
Password The password used to connect to the server.
Host Where Credential Is Applied The IP address of the server corresponding to the credential.
  4. Click OK.

Modify a credential

  1. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Server > Credential Management.

  2. Find the target credential and click Modify in the Actions column.

You can also search for the credential by name.

  3. On the Modify Credentials page, modify the credential name, user type, and password.

  4. Click OK.

Delete a credential

  1. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Server > Credential Management.

  2. Find the target credential and click Delete in the Actions column.

You can also search for the credential by name.

  3. In the dialog box that appears, click OK.

What to do next

After you create credentials, you can select them to connect to a server when you add the server.
