Modify the resources of products and components

Last Updated:2026-09-03 09:50:14

Overview
Procedure
OCP resource modifications
Multi-zone Mode
Non-multi-zone mode
ODC resource modifications
OMS resource modifications
MetaDB resource modifications

You can modify the configurations of node resources for products and components in use. For example, you can add, delete, or replace nodes based on resource changes.

Overview

Resource modification type
Description
Add a node You can add nodes to improve product performance or availability.
Delete a node You can delete existing nodes to reduce resource usage.
Replace a node You can replace damaged nodes or those no longer in use to improve product stability.

You can modify the resources of OceanBase Cloud Platform (OCP), OceanBase Developer Center (ODC), OceanBase Migration Service (OMS), MetaDB, and OBSharding.

Procedure

To modify the resources of a product or component, perform the following steps:

  • In the left-side navigation pane, choose Product Service > Products or Components.
  • On the Products or Components page, find the target product or component and click its name to go to the details page.
  • On the details page, click Resource Change.
  • After you modify the resources, click OK. You can also click Cancel to cancel the modifications.

OCP resource modifications

You can modify the resources of OCP in multi-zone mode or non-multi-zone mode.

Multi-zone Mode

The following table describes the parameters for modifying the resources of OCP in multi-zone mode.

Parameter
Description
Multi-zone Mode If OCP is in multi-zone mode, this parameter is enabled by default and cannot be disabled. If multiple zones exist, you must retain at least one zone.
Server You can add and delete servers.
Add Zone You can add zones in multi-zone mode. You must specify the name, server, OCP proxy, and MetaDB proxy for each zone.
CPU & Memory The existing CPU and memory configurations are displayed by default and can be modified. Notice: When you reduce the number of CPU cores or memory size, the products in use can be affected. Proceed with caution.

Non-multi-zone mode

The following table describes the parameters for modifying the resources of OCP in non-multi-zone mode.

Parameter
Description
Server You can add and delete servers.
CPU & Memory The existing CPU and memory configurations are displayed by default and can be modified. Notice: When you reduce the number of CPU cores or memory size, the products in use can be affected. Proceed with caution.

ODC resource modifications

The following table describes the parameters for modifying the resources of ODC.

Parameter
Description
Server You can add and delete servers.
CPU & Memory The existing CPU and memory configurations are displayed by default and can be modified. Notice: When you reduce the number of CPU cores or memory size, the products in use can be affected. Proceed with caution.

OMS resource modifications

The following table describes the parameters for modifying the resources of OMS.

Parameter
Description
Server You can add and delete servers.
CPU & Memory The existing CPU and memory configurations are displayed by default and can be modified. Notice: When you reduce the number of CPU cores or memory size, the products in use can be affected. Proceed with caution.

MetaDB resource modifications

The following table describes the parameters for modifying the resources of MetaDB.

Parameter
Description
Server You can add and delete servers.
CPU & Memory The existing CPU and memory configurations are displayed by default and can be modified. Notice: When you reduce the number of CPU cores or memory size, the products in use can be affected. Proceed with caution.

Notice

After you click OK, OAT displays a message indicating that the resource modifications of MetaDB take effect only after you restart the cluster and all products associated with MetaDB are unavailable during the restart.
