The COLUMN_VALUE_CHAR stored procedure is used to return the CHAR type value of a column at a specified position in a given cursor.
Applicability
This content applies only to OceanBase Database Enterprise Edition. OceanBase Database Community Edition does not support it.
Syntax
DBMS_SQL.COLUMN_VALUE_CHAR(c IN INTEGER, position IN INTEGER, value OUT CHAR);
DBMS_SQL.COLUMN_VALUE_CHAR(c IN INTEGER,
position IN INTEGER,
value OUT CHAR,
column_error OUT NUMBER,
actual_length OUT INTEGER);
Parameters
Parameter |
Explanation |
|---|---|
| c | Gets the cursor ID to which the value belongs. |
| position | The relative position of the column in the cursor. The first column in a statement declaration is position 1. |
| value | Return the value of the specified column.CHARType value. |
| column_error | Returns the error code for that column. |
| actual_length | The actual length of the column before truncation. |
Exceptions
If the type of the given OUT parameter value is different from the actual value's type, an INCONSISTENT_TYPE error is raised. This type is specified for the column when calling DEFINE_COLUMN.
