This topic describes how to purchase the Binlog service in the console of an OceanBase Cloud tenant.
Limitations
Only users with the Project Owner or Project Admin role can purchase the Binlog service.
The Binlog service is managed at the tenant level. You cannot enable the Binlog service for a database or table. Only tenants in the MySQL compatible mode support the Binlog service.
When you purchase the Binlog service, the system checks the instance's ODP version. If the version is below the required version, you cannot purchase the service. Upgrade ODP to meet the version requirement before enabling the service. Contact technical support if you need assistance. For ODP version requirements, see Overview.
Procedure
Log in to the OceanBase Cloud console.
On the Instances page, click the name of the target instance to go to the overview page of the instance.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Tenants. In the tenant list, click the name of the target MySQL-compatible tenant to go to the overview page of the tenant.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Binlog.
On the Binlog page, review the requirements for enabling the service and click Purchase Binlog Service.
Note
To enable the Binlog service, OceanBase Database and ODP must meet the version requirements. For details, see Overview. If the requirements are not met, you can contact technical support for an upgrade.
