This topic describes how to manage JVM-dependent services.
Note
- This feature is available only to users on the allowlist. If you want to use this feature, contact Technical Support.
- To enable the JVM-dependent services, the instance specification must be at least 16C70GiB.
Background information
To expand the capabilities of data analysis in the areas of external tables and data lakes, you need to use the Java SDK to access ODPS external tables. However, OceanBase Server is implemented in C++. Therefore, you need to integrate the Java Native Interface (JNI) in OceanBase Database to ensure compatibility with the Java environment.
Service |
Supported version |
|---|---|
| ODPS external table | OceanBase Database V4.3.5 and later |
| HDFS external table | OceanBase Database V4.3.5 and later |
| OSS catalog | OceanBase Database V4.4.1 and later |
| MySQL external table plugin | OceanBase Database V4.4.1 and later |
