Version information

  • Release date: September 13, 2022

  • Version: V2.2.11

Overview

OceanBase Connector/J V2.2.11 introduces new features including ArrayBinding, CallableStatement set by name, and setRemarksReportingLoadBalance in Oracle-compatible mode, enhancing compatibility with MySQL and Oracle databases. It is suitable for general business use.

Feature enhancements

  • Added ArrayBinding in Oracle-compatible mode. When used under the PS/II protocol, it binds parameters as arrays to achieve multiple batch executions in one operation, reducing data interaction costs between the server and client.
  • Added support for the CallableStatement set by name feature in Oracle-compatible mode, allowing values to be assigned based on predefined variable names.
  • Added support for the setRemarksReporting feature in Oracle-compatible mode. Remarks information can be obtained through metadata methods such as getColumns.
  • Improved MySQL compatibility in MySQL-compatible mode, such as aligning behaviors like setObject and PreparedStatement caching.
  • Optimized the getServerTZTablesImported query method to improve connection establishment efficiency.
  • Enhanced the performance of XID complex type queries, added localized processing functionality, and provided corresponding options for control.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue where a SELECT statement with UNION ALL returned only one row of data and did not send a fetch request under the PS/II protocol.
  • Fixed an issue where, when useServerPrepStmts=true, if createStatement()->excuteQuery() failed, calling s.close() in a case block would not actually close the statement, triggering an error due to the observer PS cursor exceeding its limit.
  • Fixed an issue where the return values of JDBC DatabaseMetaData.storesUpperCaseIdentifiers() and storesLowerCaseIdentifiers() conflicted in Oracle-compatible mode.
