Overview

OceanBase Connector/J V2.4.1 incorporates the rich client functionality from V2.3.0 and fixes numerous MySQL compatibility issues. It is suitable for routine business use.

Feature enhancements

• Integrated rich client capabilities by incorporating ODP's routing logic into the driver. Business requests are routed directly within the driver to the target OceanBase database server, eliminating the need for load balancing devices and shortening the access path. • Added new options: obProxySocket, clobberStreamingResults, maxRows, zeroDateTimeBehavior, allowNanAndInf, defaultConnectionAttributesBanList, and enableOb20Checksum. For more information, see Database URL.
• Added a JVM parameter to control console output of the 2.0 protocol header.
• Added a checksum verification switch for the OB2.0 protocol.

Bug fixes

• Fixed several MySQL compatibility issues.
• Fixed an exception thrown by the setDate interface when binary mode was enabled.
• Fixed an error where setting a value of another type to a String field in an Array + Struct object forced a String conversion and caused an error.
• Fixed a null pointer exception thrown by getSchema after connecting to an Oracle-compatible mode database without specifying the schema in the URL.
• Fixed an error when using getObject() to retrieve data.
