This topic describes the release information of the core component obbinlog of the Binlog service. For more information about the Binlog service and obbinlog, see Product Notes in Binlog service overview.

Version number rules

obbinlog (formerly known as oblogproxy) releases new versions periodically. The features and capabilities of different versions may vary significantly. Therefore, you need to identify the required version number to obtain accurate documentation.

The version number of obbinlog is represented as V.x.y.z, where:

x indicates the major version. This version usually includes architectural upgrades or the release of significant new features.
y indicates the planned iteration version. This version is part of the regular iteration plan and includes important feature or capability updates and improvements.
z indicates the release update version. This version includes minor feature or capability updates and fixes for known issues.

Release notes

The following table lists the release notes of obbinlog. You can download the Community Edition installation package from the Download Center or Alibaba Cloud yum repository. To obtain the Enterprise Edition installation package, contact OceanBase Technical Support.

V4.3.2	October 13, 2025	Support for OceanBase Database Enterprise Edition V4.4.1 is added.
V4.3.1	September 15, 2025	Support for OceanBase Database Enterprise Edition V4.3.5 BP4 is added.
V4.3.0	September 3, 2025	Support for OceanBase Database Enterprise Edition V4.2.5 BP6 is added. Auto scaling is added. You can specify scaling thresholds and steps when you create or modify a Binlog task or instance to enable adaptive memory capacity. More customizable parameters, such as log retention period and size.
V4.2.10	September 3, 2025	Support for OceanBase Database Enterprise Edition V4.4.0 BP1 is added.
V4.2.5	May 26, 2025	Support for using the `remote_failover` parameter to enable or disable cross-node pull (disabled by default). Optimization for the obcdc version integrated with obbinlog.
V4.2.4	May 13, 2025	Support for OceanBase Database V4.3.5.1 and V4.2.1.11 is added.
V4.2.3	February 14, 2025	Support for the MySQL native `show slave status` command is added. The command header information is returned to ensure compatibility with downstream MySQL subscription ecosystems.
V4.2.1	January 8, 2025	Support for OceanBase Database V4.3.5.0 is added.
V4.2.0	December 23, 2024	Support for the latest versions of OceanBase Database V4.2.1.x, V4.2.5.x, V4.3.3.x, and V4.3.4.x is added. Performance optimization for concurrent log conversion. Optimization for resuming log transmission from a breakpoint. Inconsistent mysql-bin.index files are automatically processed. Deployment scripts remove plaintext passwords from running logs.
V4.0.1	December 27, 2024	The product is comprehensively upgraded. The package name is changed to obbinlog/obbinlog-ce. Support for OceanBase Database V4.3.3.x is added. Support for cluster high availability and Prometheus monitoring is added.
