View and modify system parameters

This topic describes how to view and modify system parameters.

Prerequisites

Before you view and modify system parameters, make sure the following conditions are met:

• You have installed OceanBase Admin Toolkit (OAT). For more information, see Install OAT.

View system parameters

Procedure

1. Log in to the OAT console.

2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Systems and Security > System parameters. By default, the Parameters list displays all modifiable parameters. You can change the current page number or the number of parameters displayed on a page in the lower-right corner of the list.

3. In the upper-left corner of the Parameters list, enter a keyword in the search box and click the Search icon to search for a system parameter. The system parameters whose names match the keyword are displayed in the Parameters list.

Modify system parameters

Procedure

1. Log in to the OAT console.

2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose System Management > System Parameters.

   By default, the Parameters list displays all modifiable parameters.

3. In the upper-left corner of the Parameters list, enter a keyword in the search box and click the Search icon to search for a system parameter.

   The system parameters whose names match the keyword are displayed in the Parameters list.

4. Find the parameter whose value you want to modify and click the Edit icon in the Parameter Value column.

   The Modify Parameter Value dialog box appears. Modify the parameter value based on your business requirements.

5. Click OK.

   After you modify a parameter, check whether a restart is required for the modification to take effect.

   • If no restart is required, the modification immediately takes effect.
   • If a restart is required, you must restart the OAT server for the modification to take effect.
